Schools and a hospital in Morrisville went into lock-down Wednesday after a shooting in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms. By mid-afternoon, police were still looking for the alleged shooter.
Copley Hospital, Morristown public schools, and the private Bishop Marshall School all went into lock-down for a short time after the shooting.
Morristown Police Chief Richard Keith said the lock-downs were lifted shortly after the incident, although the shooter was still on the loose.
"All we know is there was a confrontation between two individuals in front of Cumberland Farms and it escalated into one individual pulling a gun on the other, and shot," Keith said Wednesday afternoon. "And at this point the victim is on his way to Burlington. He is talking. And the accused, if you will, is still at large but we’re looking for him, so. We’re pretty confident we’ll locate him at some point here."
Police are looking for 39-year-old Chris Burnor, of Waterville. He was last seen driving a blue Honda Civic.
UPDATE 9/25/14 6:00 a.m.

Investigators say 32-year-old Thomas Zapantis of Johnson was injured. He is in stable condition at Fletcher Allen Health Care.
