In 2000, the Northeast Kingdom town of Brighton was hit hard when the local Ethan Allen Furniture Factory shut down. It left more than a hundred people out of work. Fourteen years later, this factory is finally being repurposed. A Connecticut-based maple syrup company called Sweet Tea Holdings has bought the property, bringing with it the promise of new jobs.
