Just across Lake Champlain from Vermont are the Adirondacks, which are home to many of the country’s best bobsledders. The athletes train alongside luge and skeleton athletes at the Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic Complex in Lake Placid. The sliding track there is a regular stop for the bobsledding World Cup races. It's also where visitors like VPR’s Sage Van Wing have a chance to slide down the track in a bobsled.
