A driver who lost control of his pickup truck and struck a guardrail in Woodstock has been seriously injured and a passenger in the truck has been killed.
Police say 22-year-old John Ferrero of Woodstock was pronounced dead at the scene of Sunday's crash. The driver, 21-year-old Justin Pierce of Woodstock, is in the hospital.
Authorities say the pickup truck hit the guardrail, flipped over, hit a tree and came to a stop in a brook.
Woodstock Police, Woodstock Fire and Woodstock ambulance all responded to the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
