New Hampshire truck driver has pleaded not guilty to causing a crash that killed an elderly Vermont woman.
The Rutland Herald reports that 47-year-old Timothy Farewell of Enfield, N.H., did not speak as his lawyer entered his plea on Tuesday.
He's charged with careless and negligent operation. Police say he was driving a box truck for a tire company on May 16 when the truck crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a car driven by 84-year-old Norma Sawyer of Bridgewater.
Farewell faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
