The Danville school board says it has confidence in the ability of the Danville School principal charged criminally with failing to report a case of suspected abuse, and on Tuesday the board voted 4-0 to support him.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the board said it would support Principal Noah Noyes as the legal process unfolds.
Noyes and Caledonia Central Supervisory Union Superintendent Martha Tucker were both cited by police on Monday.
Police say Noyes and Tucker failed to report allegations that a Danville teacher inappropriately touched a student April 29.
Tucker's lawyer says the abuse allegations were found to be baseless. Noyes has not responded publicly to the allegations.
The board said Tucker is scheduled to begin a scheduled parental leave this week.
