A second New Hampshire man has been convicted for his role in shooting out insulators on a high-voltage power line in the Concord, VT.
Last week, 18-year-old Jordon Hamel, of Littleton, N.H., pleaded no contest to charges in exchange for a three-year deferred sentence. If he abides by the terms of his sentence the conviction will be wiped from his record.
Last October, 136 glass insulators were shot out in the area of Concord known as The Top of the World, causing an estimated $80,000 in damage to the power line owned by the Vermont Electric Power Company.
In addition to the deferred sentence, Hamel agreed to perform 240 hours of community service and pay $500 restitution.
Hamel's attorney Corby Gary says his client learned from his mistakes.
