A 23-year-veteran Vermont police officer is going to become chief of police in the Town of Colchester.
Jennifer Morrison will move to the Colchester department after years working in the neighboring city of Burlington.
Morrison was chosen over two internal candidates.
Colchester Town Manager Dawn Francis says Morrison will earn $90,000 a year in her new position.
The Burlington Free Press reports that Morrison's last day of work in Burlington will be Friday. She starts in Colchester July 29.
