Road Repairs Continue After Heavy Rains

Williston police say repairs are underway on a number of local roads that were damaged by heavy rains that are continuing to soak Vermont.

State crews also are working to repair a section of the southbound lane of Interstate 89 on French Hill between Richmond and Williston that washed out and could cause significant traffic delays for southbound drivers.

And heavy rains continue to fall in Vermont on Wednesday.

Green Mountain Power had hundreds of outages Tuesday night but service later was fully restored. Spokeswoman Dorothy Schnure says high winds, soggy ground and intense lightening could bring the threat of widespread outages over the next few days.
