A Vermont man suspected of involvement in the killing of a Sheffield grandmother nearly three years ago has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison in another case.
Twenty-six-year-old Richard Fletcher of Sheffield had pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child.
Prosecutors have linked Fletcher and two other men to the killing of 78-year-old Mary "Pat" O'Hagan, but no charges have been filed in connection with her death.
According to the Burlington Free Press, a judge says evidence suggests Fletcher was involved in cleaning up the crime scene and had helped move O'Hagan's body but said there was no evidence that he killed her. Fletcher's lawyer had argued that discussion of the killing would be prejudicial.
