A Vermont National Guard official says the Air Force will consider the information in a revised environmental report when it makes a decision on where to base F-35 fighter aircraft.
Guard Environmental Manager Adam Wright commented today after reviewing the new report.
The guard is considering basing F-35s in Burlington to replace aging F-16 fighters.
The revised draft report found about 2,000 more people would be affected by the louder planes than the earlier report indicated.
F-35 opponent Katherine Kirby, of Winooski, is a co-founder of the group Save our Skies Vermont. She says she hopes the new report will generate more discussions between officials and those affected by the noisier planes.
