The Vermont State Police say a search for the body of a boater presumed drowned in the Passumpsic River in Barnet will resume on Friday.
Police and rescue crews are searching for 22-year-old Zachary Florio of Passumpsic on Friday.
Police were called to the river at 2 p.m. Wednesday near the junction of Comerford Dam Road and Route 5 for the report of a canoe with three adults in it that had overturned.
Two of the boaters were able to swim to shore. Florio was last seen in the river and then disappeared.
