THE PEACHAM MEETINGHOUSE PRESENTS ORGANIST SHAUN BOOHER IN HISTORIC CONCERT
PEACHAM, VT — The Peacham Meetinghouse at the Peacham Congregational Church will host
a special organ concert on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., featuring classically trained
organist and pianist Shaun Booher. A suggested donation of $10 will benefit the Peacham
Meetinghouse Third Century Fund, supporting ongoing capital improvements to this treasured
landmark.
This performance is dedicated to the memory of Barry Lawson (1943–2025), a beloved
community leader who championed the preservation of the Meetinghouse, its historic legacy,
and its central role in the Peacham community and greater Northeast Kingdom.
Shaun Booher currently serves as Director of Music at First Congregational Church in Vermont.
A graduate of Westminster Choir College, he brings decades of experience to worship services,
theatrical productions, and community events. Known throughout Central and Northeast
Vermont for his versatility, Booher performs weekly at multiple churches and accompanies the
Lamoille County Players. His musical journey began at age eight, inspired by a deep early love of
organ music nurtured by his mother.
Concertgoers will experience the Peacham Meetinghouse’s beautifully restored pipe organ
within one of Vermont’s most iconic historic spaces. Built in 1806, the Meetinghouse is widely
recognized as one of the state’s most photographed and historically significant buildings, long
serving as a center of civic and cultural life. Its organ is a musical and historical treasure.
Proceeds from the concert will support the Third Century Fund, ensuring that the Peacham
Meetinghouse continues to serve the community for generations to come.
