Montpelier Winterfest returns with a full weekend of winter fun, outdoor adventure, and cozy community gatherings in the heart of Vermont. This free, family-friendly festival invites everyone to celebrate the season together.

Enjoy sledding, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, ice skating, puzzle events at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, live music, movies, downtown shopping and dining, and more. Don’t miss horse-drawn wagon rides on State Street, ice sculptures on the library lawn, and the 31st annual Ice on Fire celebration on Sunday afternoon with a bonfire and performances.
