In anticipation of Proud Little State’s upcoming release of the first in a series of comics on LGBTQ+ history in Vermont, join Luis Vivanco of the UVM Comics-Based Research Lab in a hands-on exploration of the relationship between research and comics. After a brief introduction, participants will work on a storytelling exercise and create a four-panel comic about their own research projects or interests in a comic zine. This workshop specifically celebrates the research and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community, but all are welcome! No drawing or art skills are required. Event is free and all materials will be provided.
