A new book, Quebec's Eastern Townships and the World: A Region and Its Global Connections, shines a light on the culture, history, and natural beauty found in the area known as the Eastern Townships of Quebec.

Co-editors Christopher Kirkey, director of the Center for the Study of Canada and Institute on Québec Studies at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, and Andy Holman, professor of history and director at the Canadian Studies program at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, joined Vermont Edition to discuss the essay collection.

This show also included a conversation with Vermont Public's CEO Vijay Singh regarding federal funding for public media.

Broadcast live on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
