This week’s calendar announcements:

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present an evening of contemporary folk music by Québec-based singer/songwriter Geneviève Racette and her trio and New England-based duo Hilary & G on Friday, May 30th at 7:30 pm at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

Scarlet Annie and The Individuals (Nate Gusakov) will be playing on Wednesday May 28th, 6-8pm in Waitsfield at the 'Round-Up Music Series' right behind Scrag and Roe restaurant by the river in downtown Waitsfield.

Singer-songwriters Connor Garvey and Putnam Smith will perform on Thursday, May 29 at 7:00 p.m, at Stage 33 Live, 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls. Tickets are $15 in advance through stage33live.com or $20 at the door as available. Advance tickets guarantee entry. Only 40 tickets will be sold. The performances will be recorded and filmed. This year’s 23rd Farewell Reunion will be happening at Grace Church in Sheldon on Friday May 30th – Featured musicians will be Jenna Moynihan and Owen Marshall.

Jenna Moynihan and Owen Marshall will also be playing at a house concert in E. Montpelier on Saturday, May 31. The concert will be at 7 pm, with a potluck dinner beforehand at 6 p.m.for anyone interested. Suggested donation to the musicians is $20. Kids are welcome. The Pointe Noir Cajun Band will be performing at the Cabot Arts Festival Friday, May 30th at the | Willey Building, Main St., Cabot, VT. Showtime 8 to 10 pm. Other performers for the weekend include Ida Mae and John Specker, Tom McKenzie, Dana Robinson, and many more.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, VPR's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that "aims to reward the pinnacle of arts leadership in a state blessed with creative energy disproportionate to its population." He is also the recipient of the 2022 Magaret Kannestine Arts Advocacy Award from the Vermont Arts Council, and is a 2023 inductee to the International Folk Alliance's FolkDJ Hall of Fame.
