Happy Birthday Times Two - Hank and Frank !

Celebrating the birthdays of two very different vocalists, a trip to Quebec, and much more !

This week's calendar announcements:

Jim Rooney and Colin McCaffrey return to 7 Stars Hall in Sharon with Jeremy Sicely, one of Vermont’s rising young stars. Country, bluegrass & folk songs will be on the menu on Friday, December 17th at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30, and Total seating will be limited to 45 people.

Vermont's Social Band will present their Deep Midwinter Concert at Temple Sinai in South Burlington on Saturday December 18th at 7:30 p.m.

Koehler & Kelly (trad fiddle/jazz piano) will be performing some old fiddle tunes with new grooves at Cafe Lena on Thursday December 16th.

The Fretless, a progressive trad string quartet, will be performing a number of shows in the VPR listening area this week, including performances at 29 Church St. in Richmond on Thursday December 16th at 7:30 p.m., at the ArtPort in St. Johnsbury on Friday September 17th at 7 p.m., and at the Bennington Museum on Saturday September 18th at 2 p.m.

"Winter Tales," featuring the music of Vermont musicians Patti Casey and Susannah Blachly, plays from December 15th through the19 th at Main Street Landing in Burlington. Info and Tix are available at www.vermontstage.org.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, VPR's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that "aims to reward the pinnacle of arts leadership in a state blessed with creative energy disproportionate to its population." He is also the recipient of the 2022 Magaret Kannestine Arts Advocacy Award from the Vermont Arts Council, and is a 2023 inductee to the International Folk Alliance's FolkDJ Hall of Fame.
