Desert bluesman Vieux Farka Toure, performing this week at the Colonial Theater in Bethlehem, NH !

Reveling in new releases and sampling music from Mabou and Mali and Aberystwyth!

This week's calendar announcements:

Sierra Hull and the Mike + Ruthy Band will be playing at Fuller Hall at St. Johnsbury Academy on Friday, September 16th at 7pm.

Vieux Farke Toure will be performing at the Colonial Theater in Bethlehem, NH on Sunday September 18th 

The Monadnock Folklore Society presents a special evening of Cape Breton music at the Nelson, NH Town Hall on Sunday,September 18th at 7:00 p.m. Troy MacGillivray joins Wendy MacIsaac & Buddy MacDonald to share the rich musical heritage of Nova Scotia. 

On Saturday, September 17th the Whallonsburg NY Grange Hall will present the incredibly talented and Welsh band Calan. With fiddles, guitar, accordion, bagpipes, harp, and step dancing, the group performs a mix of traditional melodies and new original music from Wales.

Paul Asbell will be performing at the Music Box in Craftsbury on Saturday September 17th at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a contra dance at the Tinmouth Community Center on Friday September 16th at 8 p.m. Pete’s Posse will provide the music, and Adina Gordon is the caller.

Woodchuck’s Revenge will be at the Waitsfield Farmers' Market on Saturday, September 17th at  9:30 a.m.

The Infamous Stringdusters will perform at Higher Ground in South Burlington on Friday September 16th.

The Dave Keller Band will hold a CD release party at the Briggs Opera House in White Rive Junction on Saturday September 17th. 

 
There will be a Bulgarian folk dance party with the group Bulgarika playing music for listening and dancing at the Heineberg Senior Center in Burlington on Sunday September 11th from 6 - 10 p.m.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
