New federal rules from the Department of Labor mean that millions more Americans — and many thousands more Vermonters — will be eligible for overtime pay.
That could mean big changes for many workplaces: on hours, jobs and the bottom line. And even workers whose pay isn't directly affected by the new rules could face changes in how their work is managed and scheduled. We're looking at whom and where the new rules will hit, and what the shake-up could look like.
We're joined by Kerin Stackpole, who leads the employment and labor law group at Paul Frank and Collins Attorneys, and by Vermont Labor Commissioner Annie Noonan.
