Ric Cengeri

Many questions about the future of the Northeast Kingdom arose in the wake of the EB-5 scandal.

Two weeks ago, shockwaves struck the Northeast Kingdom. The offices of Jay Peak and Q Burke were raided because of alleged improprieties involving the misuse of EB-5 funds.

So how has the news affected the psyche and the economic hopes of the region?

We get a sense of what the future looks like and what leaders, residents and business people are thinking now that they've had time to digest the news.

We talk with Leisure Hotels and Resorts CEO Steve Olson, Northeastern Vermont Development Association Executive Director Dave Snedeker, Alivia Bertolini Libby and Michael Sher of the Friends of Burke Mountain, and Community National Bank CEO Steve Marsh.

Broadcast live on Thurs., April 28, 2016 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
