KKK Fliers In Burlington, Race In Vermont

Annie Russell

At a Saturday rally, Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger spoke with Jocellyn Harvey, a woman who received a Klu Klux Klan image at her home.

Last week, Ku Klux Klan fliers were found at the homes of two black women in Burlington. It's been a shock to many in the city, and over the weekend about a hundred came together in a rally to condemn the act. We're talking about the incident and the response, and about larger issues of race and hatred in Vermont.

We're talking to Jocellyn Harvey, one of the women who received a flier. Also to Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center, Burlington police chief Brandon del Pozo, and Curtiss Reed, Jr., executive director of the Vermont Partnership for Fairness and Diversity.
