If you thrill to the sound of the roar of engines at the speedway, you may already know just how extensive Vermont's auto racing pedigree is. Now mostly shuttered, there were once tracks all across the state - Northeastern Speedway, Catamount Stadium, Malletts Bay Speedway, to name just a few.
We're talking about the rich history of auto racing in the state, some of the biggest names, places, and stories from past eras - and what the prognosis for auto racing looks like now.
We're joined by Bill Ladabouche, Vermont motor sports historian who runs the website CatamountStadium.com. Also by Paul Bellefeuille, owner and restorer of Northeastern Speedway in Lower Waterford.
