Art Hounds: Colonial Architecture, Fiddling & Dr. Horrible

Castleton Colonial Day

Mary Ann Feeney of Castleton is a guide at Shelburne Museum and she recommended Castleton Colonial Dayon  Saturday, August 15th from 10 a.m.  to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Bob Shannon from Fourth Corner Foundation suggested the exhibit of edgy paintings from 15 different artists at The Foundation Gallery in Windham on Saturday, August 15th.

Nancy Warner, from Lowell is a founder of the Community of Vermont Elders or COVE. She recommended a fundraiser concert, featuring Louis Schryer  called, The Master And His Fiddle at The Barre Opera House on Saturday, August 15th at 7 p.m.

Karen Nevin, director of Valley Arts, recommended The Great Vermont Plein Air Paint-Out, held during The Vermont Festival For The Arts, this Friday and Saturday, August 14th and 15th, with 55 painters, plus an art show and sale and children's paint-out.

Beth Esmond from Jericho is in community theater and suggested Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog on stage at the Black Box Theater in Main Street Landing this Friday August 14th at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, August 15th at 2 and 7 p.m., featuring current and former students from Mount Mansfield Union High School.

Helen Drew is a painter from Thetford and recommended the watercolor-painted mandalas by Martha Stringham Bacon through September 8th at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum.
