From Transformation Ballads To Waylon Jennings

We dance from French Canada to Eunice, Louisiana and from enchanted European woods to Veracruz...whirling and waltzing and line dancing all at the same time....unruffled by the darkest days of December!

This program will air on Sunday December 14th from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements

The Social Band will perform part of their Deep Midwinter program on Saturday December 20th at 7:30 p.m. at the College Street Congregational Church in Burlington, and on Sunday December 21st at 3 p.m. at the Charlotte Congregational Church.

Twilight Music and Next Stage Arts Project present country, swing, honky-tonk and old-time music sextet The Sweetback Sisters performing their annual Christmas concert on Sunday, December 21st at 7:30 pm at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

Dave Keller will perform at Parker Pie in W. Glover on Thursday December 18th, at the Schilling Beer Co. in Littleton, NH on Friday December 19th and at the Bull Wheel Bar at Jay Peak on Saturday afternoon December 20th. 

Harvey Reid will appear in concert with Joyce Andersen at the Four Corners Grill--New London NH
Thursday, December 18th at 8 p.m.

Stories for a Winters Eve, featuring Patti Casey, Pete Sutherland, Mark Nash, and Kathryn Blue, will be performed at the Old Meeting House in East Montpelier on Saturday December 20th – two shows, one at 3, and one at 7 p.m.

Charlotte songwriter Francesca Blanchard will play the last of a series of four performances at the South End Kitchen in Burlington on Friday December 19th from 7-9 p.m.

 This year’s Christmas Revels show is Haddon Hall: A Celebration of the Winter Solstice.  The Revels will be performed at the Hopkins Center in Hanover, NH from December 18th – 21st , and will feature a chorus of local singers and dancers along with area musicians including Anna Patton and Jane Orzechowski.

Nowell Sing We Clear will perform one of the final performances of what is rumored to be their final tour tomorrow night at the Latchis Theater in Brattleboro at 7:30 p.m.

The Green Mountain Playboys will play for a Cajun dance at Charlie O’s in Montpelier on Wednesday December 17th from 8 – 11 p.m.

Vermont diva Martha Seyler will perform at Shelburne Wine a Coffee on Saturday December 20th from 2:30 - 5 p.m. (accompanied by Robert Resnik!)

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
