Lake Champlain is 125 miles long and 14 miles across at its widest point. It offers boating enthusiasts almost 500 square miles of water to traverse. But how does the culture of the "6th Great Lake" compare to others in the state like Memphremagog, Willoughby and Bomoseen?
Erin Moreau, Burlington's waterfront coordinator, provides insight into the boating culture of Champlain. We also learn about boating opportunities on the lake from Lake Champlain Maritime Museum Executive Director Erick Tichonuk. And Vermont State Police Marine Division Education Coordinator Jerry Johnson provides a boating safety primer.
Also on the program, Wallingford long-distance swimmer Bethany Bosch is making her final preparations before attempting to swim across the English Channel. She updates us on her progress.
