From Archie to Anais

We celebrate an absolute wealth of live concerts upcoming all over the VPR listening area this week, including shows by Scotland's great Archie Fisher (with special guest Garnet Rogers), Vermont's great Anais Mitchell, and New Jersey's great John Gorka, a set of classic and modern Calypso, some local Francophone divas, and much much more!

Cormac McCarthy will perform at the Palmer Street Coffeehouse in Plattsburgh on Fri. April 4th at 7:30 p.m.

Red Tail Ring will play at the Richmond Free Library on Sun. April 6th at 4:00 p.m.  Red Tail Ring will also be performing at the Ripton Community Coffeehouse on Sat. April 5th.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present an evening bluegrass and newgrass by The Lonely Heartstring Band and The Stockwell Brothers on Sun.  April 6th at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

The Buskers will be at the Music Box in Craftsbury on Sat. April 5th.

The Whallonsburg Grange in Whallonsburg, NY will present Archie Fisher with Garnet Rogers on Fri. April 4th at 7:30 p.m.

Celtic fiddler Hanneke Cassel  will perform with her band on Sat. April 5th at the Peterborough, NH Unitarian Universalist Church.

On Sat. April 5th at 7:30 p.m., Brandon Music welcomes Doug Perkins and Jamie Masefield. 

The Social Band will perform on Sat. April 5th at 7:30 p.m. at the Hinesburg United Church and on Sun. April 6th at 3:00 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Burlington

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
