A loving relationship can have emotional and physical benefits.

Love. It’s a mystery, but it’s also something we all strive for. Sometimes it hits us at first sight. Other times, it takes years for it to blossom.

We discuss our desire for love and the keys to long-lasting relationships with Champlain College Psychology Professor Bjarne Holmes and Gordon McClellan, minister of the First Congregational Church in Manchester. We also learn about McClellan’s project to describe what love looks like.

Also on the program, the Marlboro band Red Heart The Ticker has developed a “musical CSA.” They share the details of their Songs in the Lunar Phase project.

Plus, we learn about a Burlington woman who is making and marketing her own line of nail polish called Nail Pattern Boldness.

Broadcast live on Thursday, Feb. 13 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.

Ric was a producer for Vermont Edition and host of the VPR Cafe.

I’m looking into how aging in Vermont impacts living essentials such as jobs, health care and housing. And also how aging impacts the stuff of life: marriage, loss, dating and sex.
