From barns and churches to opera houses, court houses and meeting houses, Vermont has a rich panoply of architectural styles among its more than 40,000 buildings.
Drive around the state, and you will find beautiful examples of Federal, Colonial, Victorian, Greek Revival and Modernist architecture.
Glenn Andres and Curtis Johnson, co-authors of the new book Buildings of Vermont, discuss the state’s important buildings, architectural styles and the noted architects who lived and who worked here. We also hear from Janet Burnham of the Bethel Historical Society about Vermont architect George Guernsey.
An exhibit of Curtis Johnson's photographs is currently being held at the Middlebury College Museum of Art.
Also on the program, Jimmy Kennedy shares recipes for that venison you have in your freezer from this past hunting season. Kennedy was co-founder of River Run restaurant in Plainfield, and author of the "River Run Cookbook."
