Who Knows Where The Time Goes?

Autumn again so soon!  Music for stacking wood and looking northeast to Acadia, and a preview of some of the many amazing artists playing at the Fresh Grass festival at MASS MoCA next weekend!

Please note:  This program will air on Sunday September 15th from 7:00-10:00pm

This week's calendar announcements:

The Fresh Grass Festival will be held in North Adams, MA at MASS MoCA from September 20th - 22nd.  Featured artists include Ralph Stanley, Sam Bush, Edgar Meyer & Mike Marshall, The Gibson Brother, The Infamous Stringdusters, and many many more !

On Saturday, September 21st  7:30pm, NSAI Songwriters Round with Carol Ann Jones, Carol Hausner, Jim Karns and Ashley Miles will be held at Catamount Arts Center  115 Eastern Avenue,  St. Johnsbury

Vermont musicians Patti Casey and Tom MacKenzie, also known as Shady Rill, will be performing at the Old Firehouse in Tinmouth on Friday September 20th at 7:30pm

"Alan Greenleaf and the Doctor" will be performing at the "Seven Barrels Brew Pub", W. Lebanon, N.H., on Friday, Sept. 20th. from 8:30 to 11:30pm

The Acadian Band Grand Dérangement will play at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center on September 21st at 7:30pm

On Friday September 20th Singer/Songwriter Jed Marum will be appearing in concert at the WalkOver Concert Room in Bristol at 8:00pm  

Old Songs will hold its annual Dinner & Concert fund raiser on Saturday, September 21st at 6:00 pm at 37 South Main Street, Voorheesville, NY. This year, local musicians will perform Songs of The Carter Family. Featured performers will be Mark & Carolyn Schmidt and Suzie Ziegler, George Wilson, Bill Spence, and John Roberts. A Lasagna Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm with the Concert beginning at 8:00 pm.

The Music Box in Craftsbury presents the Gordon Stone Trio on Saturday September 21st at 8pm

Matt & Shannon Heaton will perform at the Nelson Town Hall in Nelson, NH on Friday, September 20th  at 8:00pm

Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas will come to the Upper Valley Music Center in Lebanon NH for a harmony and working-together workshop on Sunday Sept. 22, from 11:30 to 1:30.  To register contact the Center:603-448-1642

Jeremiah McLane and David Surette will play at Brandon Music on Saturday, September 21st at 7:30pm

Tom Akstens and Neil Rossi will bring their 50th anniversary tour to Bennington’s Meetinghouse Café on Friday, September 20.
 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
