Sunday July 7, 2013 7-10pm One way to deal with one of the rainiest Vermont summers on record is to attend some of the many wonderful live shows available every week in the VPR listening area - this week's offerings include Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell at the Flynn Center in Burlington, the great Belizean band the Garifuna Collective with Malian master Vieux Farka Toure at Higher Ground, French Heritage Days in Vergennes, the Middlebury Festival on the Green all week, and a free show in Castleton courtesy of the Bluegrass Gospel project. Chase those clouds away with music!

There will be a Contra Dance at the Tunbridge Town Hall on VT RT 110
Friday July 12th at 7:30 PM. Music by Harold Luce and others.
All dances will be taught, and beginners are welcome.
Patti Casey & Susannah Blachly will be performing at the Skinny Pancake in Montpelier on SundayJuly 14th from 6-9pm.
The Middlebury Festival on the Green runs all through this week. Featured performers at lunchtime and in the evening include Kobotown, Brooks Williams, After the Rodeo, Raz-de-Maree’, Bob Amos, the Clayfoot Strutters, and more. All performances are free!
Kobotown will also be performing at Club Metronome in Burlington on Friday July 12th
The Stone Cold Roosters will hold a CD release party for their new disc "back in the bog" at the On Tap Bar & Grille in Essex Junction on Thursday 7/11 at 8:00pm
French Heritage Day in Vergennes will happen on Saturday 7/13. There will be events happening all day, and featured musicians include Raz-de-Maree, Va-et Vient, and the Fiddleheads.
The Bluegrass Gospel Project will perform on Tuesday July 9th in a free concert at the Castleton State College Pavillion. The free concert will happen rain or shine, and starts at 7pm.
Sarah Blacker comes to Brandon Music, 62 Country Club Road in Brandon, as part of her tour throughout the Northeast to kick off the release of her new album, ‘Precious Little Things.” She returns to Brandon Music on Saturday July 13th at 7pm.

Woodchuck’s Revenge will play on Thursday, July 11 (7:00 P.M.) at the Belmont VT (gazebo) concert series.
Mayfly will perform on Wednesday July 10th with Ollabelles (American Harmony) Sing at Burlington City Arts Firehouse Gallery, City Hall Park, Burlington, VT at noon.
Banjo Dan & Willy Lindner will perform on Wednesday July 10th at the Bethel, VT Band Shell at 7 PM.
