Joan Alexander from Glover called the VPR Art Hounds hotline about the Annual All-Day Shape-Note Sing, coming up in March 23rd at the Irasburg Town Hall.

Alexander says newcomers are invited and in true shape-note sing fashion, there will be a potluck in the middle of the day.

Mark Law, a local classical music blogger, called about the Leipzig Quartet concert at College Street Congregational Church in Burlington on Wednesday, March 13th at 7.

There will be a pre-concert talk with the musicians. Find more here.

And local musician Peg Tassey called the VPR Art Hounds hotline to encourage you to get out of the house on a chilly February night and head to the Goddard College Haybarn in Plainfield to see Session Americana.

The group will perform this Friday to promote their new album called, Love and Dirt. For a taste of their unique sound, enjoy the video clip below.

And go see Joan MacKenzie's colorful and whimsical animal exhibit, hanging now through the end of February at Brownell LIbrary in Essex Junction.
