Vermont musician Peg Tassey suggests Melissa Knight's batik collages, hanging at Muddy Waters in Burlington, Vermont, through October 1st and The Contemporary Dance and Fitness Center until October 11th.
Tassey also raves about Ethan Azarian of the band, The Hollywood Indians, who plays original music at the Black Door in Montpelier on Friday, October 12. Azarian also paints murals on display in Austin, Texas.
Karl from Charlotte called about West Branch Gallery and Sculpture Park in Stowe, Vermont, which is teaming up with Vermont Land Trust to preserve back country acreage and skiing trails between Bolton and Stowe. with a reception on October 4th.
Selected artists will sell paintings of the Bolton and Stowe landscape with at least 70 percent of proceeds going to the conservation fund.
Charlie Hunter and Susan Abbott's Vermont landscape paintings are on exhibit at West Branch at the time of the reception as well.
Lauren Gifford from Norwich, Vermont, called about Susan Whelihan's "found-object" mosaics of Vermont landscapes, called, "Pieced Together."
Partial proceeds from the sales of pieces in the showing, on view through October at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire, will benefit the Irene Relief Fund.
Sebastian Ryder, a choreographer in Burlington, Vermont, called the Art Hounds hotline to recommend two "Hamlets," one at Lost Nation Theatre and another winter performance at Champlain College.
Ryder suggests taking in several "Hamlets" to compare differing interpretations.
