There are big changes in the test that’s given to people who have not graduated from high school but want an equivalent degree.  The General Educational Development Test, or GED, is harder and more expensive to take than it used to be. That’s scaring off a lot of test takers, but Vermont offers an alternative route to a diploma. Vermont's "net metering" bill that nearly quadruples the amount of power that utilities can buy from renewable energy projects is becoming law.  New statistics show medical marijuana is booming in Vermont.
The Vermont attorney general's office says it has settled a consumer protection complaint against Irving Oil for about $425,000.
