A new report shows that an effort to control spiraling health care costs is beginning to pay off. The state’s Blueprint for Health focuses on chronic diseases and a comprehensive system of care. The Coca Cola Company will spend $1.25 billion to purchase a 10 percent interest in Waterbury-based Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. It now appears it will be at least next week before a Vermont Senate panel completes its work on a bill to streamline the process for getting people into mental health treatment and on medications against their will.
