More than two years after Tropical Storm Irene wrought millions of dollars worth of damage across the state, administration officials say the state’s recovery spending is almost complete. Officials say this year should be the last time they have to ask the legislature for Irene recovery money. When Vermont lawmakers return to work in about six weeks, they will consider whether the state should sell off its investments in oil, coal and other fossil fuel companies. Crews are planning to remove a wind turbine blade on Lowell Mountain so it can be repaired after it was hit by lightning. The secretary of the Vermont Agency of Agriculture wants to hear from farmers.
