Nearly 100 people met in Brandon last night to hear how the state plans to fight Eastern Equine Encephalitis - or Triple E - the mosquito-born illness that caused two deaths in Rutland County last year.

The last two months of heavy rains have pushed Lake Champlain to near flood stage, and aggravated the lake’s pollution problems.

The Winooski City Council has voted unanimously to oppose plans by the Air Force to base F-35 fighter planes at Burlington International Airport.

North Country Hospital in Newport has cut 19 workers and reduced hours for three others to deal with dropping revenues.

A graduate of NYU with a Master's Degree in journalism, Mitch has more than 20 years experience in radio news. He got his start as news director at NYU's college station, and moved on to a news director (and part-time DJ position) for commercial radio station WMVY on Martha's Vineyard.
