A nuclear engineer is warning that Vermont Yankee could close before its federal license expires and leave the state with a huge clean up bill; Congressman Peter Welch says he cast a “protest vote” against a bill that exempts air traffic controllers from the federal budget sequestration, and downward economic trends in and around Windham County have sparked a campaign to boost the region’s prosperity.
Neal was a reporter and VPR's All Things Considered host from 2001 to 2014.
