Thanksgiving Special Programs

In the place of our regular programing, VPR will present special programming in celebration of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

This year, VPR will feature several special programs Nov. 25 and Nov. 26 in honor of Thanksgiving:

  • Thursday from Noon to 2 p.m., listen to Turkey Confidentiala live call-in program hosted by Lynne Rossetto Kasper and featuring Jacques Pépin, Dave Isay, Nigella Lawson and Andrew Zimmern. 
     
  • Thursday at 7 p.m. hear Beyond the Blackboard: Building Character in Public Schools.This documentary explores the ideas and history behind expeditionary learning.
     
  • Friday at 2 p.m. hear a special broadcast of The Takeawayfocusing on climate change and the climate conference in Paris. 
  • Friday at Noon and 7 p.m hear Becoming Bernie, VPR's program on the rise and the record of Senator Bernie Sanders. Watch the trailer below:
