Vermont Public Radio has been honored with four regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in electronic journalism, including recognition for Continuing Coverage, Audio Documentary, Hard News, and Website, from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).
The winning coverage includes:
Continuing Coverage of the problems with Vermont Health Connect
Audio Documentary, for State of Mind, a documentary by Jane Lindholm on Vermont’s mental health care system.
Hard News, for the story “EPA called in to deal with Rutland pesticide contamination” by Nina Keck
Website, for VPR.net’s overall news content.
In all, 14 awards were made in the small market radio category for the region, which includes all of the New England states. The winning entries will be entered in all of these categories for the national awards, which will be judged this summer.
