Join Steve and fellow VPR listeners on this adventure through Morocco. We’ll visit many places including Casablanca, Rabat, Fez, and Marrakesh, and learn about this fascinating country through its history and culture. We’ll go to a Berber village, meet artisans and craftspeople, see fire eaters and snake charmers. We will enjoy the food which is a mix of several different cuisines, such as Berber, Mediterranean, Spanish, Portuguese, Moorish, Corsican, and African. And, as a special treat, we’ll take in the Sacred Music Festival, where artists of international fame come to perform Moroccan Sufi chants, Pakistani qawwali, Egyptian madhi odes and much more.
