Daily Drive Report: The Final Countdown

Today we hit an important milestone during our June Membership Drive: the halfway point.

Typically during a drive, we count "up" until we reach half of our goal and then we start counting "down" until  - if all goes according to plan - we cross the finish line successfully.

Here are some of the latest stats from the drive:

  • Overall goal: $465,000
  • Total raised: $248,009
  • Left to raise: $216,991
  • Total pledges: 2,594
  • Average pledge: $95.27
  • Best day (so far): Wednesday, June 12, raising $33,688
  • Percentage of pledges: 52% by mail, 31% by phone, 17% by web
  • If you want to see all of the winners of our prize drawings (so far) and what drawings remain, visit Pledge Central.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has made a pledge during this drive (including those who pledged before we started!).

But the truth is, it's rally time.

We are at a critical point in this drive. We have over $200,000 left to raise in order to end the drive successfully, and just four days to make it happen. That's right, our plan is to end the drive on Saturday at noon, but we can't do that without your help. So, if you haven't yet made a  pledge, now is the time!

Will we cancel programs if we don’t reach our goal? Of course not. But, it will cause us to re-examine our priorities for the remainder of our fiscal year. We want to continue to grow and provide the services you’ve asked for: more local news and arts coverage, more digital news and content on mobile platforms…but our ability to meet your expectations depends on your support!

Please make your best gift to VPR now, to help keep us on track and end this membership drive on a high note! Click here to make your gift via our secure website or call 1-800-639-6391.
