Previews of a vast and wonderful selection of live performances in our area during the upcoming week, some amazing clarinet music, apple, blueberry, and chicken pies, and much much more!

Local hero Barry King leads off the musical season at the Deborah Rawson Library in Jericho on Sunday October 7th at 2 p.m.  Admission is free.

The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Peterborough, NH First Saturday Contra Dance on Saturday October 6th, featuring Steve Zakon-Anderson calling with The Mystic River Trio.

The Sky Blue Boys will be playing at the Palmer Street Coffeehouse in Plattsburgh, NY on Friday October 5th at 7:30 p.m.

The Westford Music series presents the Twangtown Paramours on Sunday, October 7th from  4-5 p.m. at the UCW white church on Route 128 in Westford.

P.M. Sundays in Richmond present Genticorum on Sunday October 7th at 4 p.m. at the Richmond Congregational Church.

Cabot Arts, Summit School and Concerts in the Schoolhouse presents James Keelaghan and Jez Lowe on Sunday, October 7th at 4 p.m. at the Cabot Town Hall Auditorium.

Northern Harmony, an ensemble of nine brilliant young singers, all Village Harmony alumni, presents three Vermont concerts: Wednesday, October 3rd at 7 p.m. at Irasburg Town Hall; Friday, October 5th at 7:30 pm at the Guilford Community Church; and Sunday, October 7th at 7 p.m. at Taplin Auditorium at Christ Church in Montpelier. 

Alan Greenleaf  [solo]  will be appearing at both  Peacham Fall Festival and Groton Fall Festival.  Peacham  on Thursday, October 4th, from 4-6 PM. at the Church,  Groton on Saturday, Oct 6th,  during the famous chicken pot pie supper at the town hall from 4:30-8PM. In Groton Carol Hausner and “Doc” Kaplan will be also playing outside the town hall for the duration of the pot pie supper.

Eli West and Ben Winship will perform at the Ripton Community Coffee House. Saturday, October 6 at 7:30 pm, Ripton Community House, Route 125, Ripton.  Doors open at 7 p.m.

Night Tree will be playing at a house concert at 338 Thompson Rd. in Shelburne on Friday October 5th.  Dinner at 6, music at 7.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present an evening of traditional  music with Genticorum and fiddler/singer Zoe Darrow on Friday, October 5th at 7:30 pm at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

Cabot Arts and the Cabot Community Association will present a special close-out performance by the extraordinary Vermont ensemble  Danza Del Fuego (Dance of Fire) at the Cabot Town Hall (Willey Building) at 7 p.m.  on Tuesday October 2nd.

Tim McKenzie will be performing at the East Fairfield Meeting House on the Green on Saturday October 6th. 

Jeffery Focault will be playing at Higher Ground in S. Burlington on Sunday October 7th.

They Might Be Gypsies will be celebrating 10 years playing together at Knoll Farm in Waitsfield on Sunday October 7th at 6:30 p.m.
