Liberty Union candidate Rosemarie Jackowski admits she's a longshot in the Vermont attorney general's race, but she claims a vote for her will start "chipping away at the party machine."

Jackowski is among the statewide candidates we're speaking to ahead of the November elections.

She has not held statewide office, but she's run for attorney general in every general election since 2006.

Jackowski spoke to VPR's Henry Epp about her positions on incarceration and the state's response to the opioid crisis.

Listen to the interview with Jackowski above. Find VPR's Campaign 2018 coverage here.

Henry worked for Vermont Public as a reporter from 2017 to 2023.
