A nationally recognized expert on issues of race, public policy and the criminal justice system will be at St. Michael's College to speak about racism and the culture of policing on September 7.
Nekima Levy-Pounds is a civil rights attorney, an advisor to Black Lives Matter Minneapolis and president of the Minneapolis NAACP.
This year she received a Distinguished Service Award from the Minnesota Governor's Commission for her work on economic and criminal justice, public policy and how those issues relate to race.
