Middlebury College And Porter Medical Center Partner To Support Victims Of Sexual Assault

A new collaboration between Porter Medical Center and Middlebury College is seeking to simplify the process for victims of sexual assault to get immediate care from local medical professionals who have special training in work with survivors of trauma.
The partnership will allow students and community members to see Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) at both locations. SANEs are nurses specially trained to to aid victims of sexual assault.

VPR spoke with Gaen Murphree, a reporter at the Addison Independent, who recentlycovered the new partnership.
