Legislators are working to wrap up this session's business as soon as possible, and are expected to work late into Friday night.

It looks like it could be the final day of the Vermont legislative session. But first, state lawmakers in Montpelier are settling in for what could be a very long night.

It’s been a contentious day under the Golden Dome but some of the biggest issues of the legislative session are finally reaching a resolution. House and Senate leaders say it’s possible they could even adjourn late Friday Night.

VPR’s Peter Hirschfeld has been keeping tabs on all the action and joined All Things Considered host Alex Keefe with an update on the latest. Take a listen.

The Vermont Statehouse is often called the people’s house. I am your eyes and ears there. I keep a close eye on how legislation could affect your life; I also regularly speak to the people who write that legislation.
Alex was a reporter and host of VPR's local All Things Considered. He was also the co-host and co-creator of the VPR program Brave Little State.
