#TMDVT: How To Follow Town Meeting Day Coverage On Twitter

Vermont's traditional Town Meeting Day is the first Tuesday in March, which is March 1 this year. However, in an attempt to increase participation, some communities have moved the annual meeting to Monday evening, Saturday, or even spread it across multiple days. 

And with the addition of candidate forums and public hearings on Australian ballot items, town meeting has become more of a short season than a single day.

Twitter has proven to be a useful tool in keeping up with all that goes on leading up to and at Vermont's town meetings. Vermont journalists on Twitter use #tmdvt to denote tweets about annual town meetings.
