Quebec Teachers Consider Another Strike

A video released by the "Fédération autonome de l'enseignement" teachers union Tuesday, called "34 000 profs fiers et en colère!", highlights issues being negotiated by the union, including major cuts to education budgets over the last 10 years.";s

On Thursday, some 34,000 teachers at French language schools in Quebec could vote to authorize a strike that would affect nearly 275,000 school kids in the province.

It follows months of labor unrest and tense contract talks with the government, including a one-day strike about a month ago.

Reporter Maya Johnson has been following this story for CTV in Montreal, she joined VPR to talk about the potential strike.
