FairPoint Communications says it has resolved issues responsible for service outages and slower than normal Internet connections for DSL broadband customers in Vermont and New Hampshire Tuesday.
It’s unclear how many subscribers were affected by the problems, but callers to FairPoint’s customer assistance line were told there were system-wide problems affecting both states.
A FairPoint spokesperson says service was restored late Tuesday night.
The company says some customers may need to reboot their home wireless systems in order to reconnect to FairPoint’s system. It says it is still investigating the cause of the problems.
